In an effort to increase the amount of support to Youth Ministers throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto, we have assembled a team of Regional Liaisons. It is our hope that these youth ministers, all with many years of experience, will be able to significantly enhance the existing support that I and the entire OCY team provide on an ongoing basis.

Nicholas De Castro
Born and raised in North York, Nick spent most of his life in the Jane and Wilson area. Familiar with the chaotic streets, the web of mixing cultures, and the grit of inner-city life, Nick finds that although the city may be a mess, it is exactly where Christ chooses to dwell. He believes this wholeheartedly because this was exactly where Christ met him - in the messiness of his own life. Growing up a cradle Catholic, Nick simply believed Jesus was meant for only an hour on Sundays and had no real impact on his life. However, it was when Nick attended a conference in highschool, where he encountered God’s powerful love present in the Eucharist. During this conference, God spoke to depths of his heart and revealed to him that a life lived with God is a life of abundance. After graduating highschool, Nick joined the Totus Tuus Summer Missionary Program where the Lord planted seeds for ministry and confirmed his desire to bring the love of Jesus to the youth. With his confirmation saint, John Bosco, by his side, Nick currently serves as a youth minister at his home parish, St. Philip Neri. Awaken by the fire of the Holy Spirit and living under the mantle of His Mother, Nick desires to bring as many young people as possible to Jesus so that they can live abundant lives with Him.
