Join the OCY and the Archdiocese of Toronto on this World Youth Day pilgrimage to Seoul, South Korea and be transformed by the beauty and universality of the Catholic Church. This handcrafted journey invites you into a prayerful, authentic, and joyful encounter with the Korean martyrs while encountering young people from all over the world. Visit various holy sites, pray under the stars, and embrace the Holy Father’s call to be pilgrims with courage.

To apply for a spot on the pilgrimage, please provide us with the following information.

*Spots are limited and we will be reviewing applications on a first-come-first serve basis. Spots will only be secured once an initial confirmation has been sent to you and a deposit has been paid. 

*Applications will be open until September 15th, 2026, or until spots are full.
*Applications are currently only being accepted for young adults between the ages of 18-39 living in the Archdiocese of Toronto.
*We are accepting applications for those who are away for post-secondary education but whose principle residence is in the Archdiocese of Toronto.
*You must be 18 or older at the time of departure (August 1st. 2027)
*Should you be older than 39 and still wish to come or are living outside of the diocese, please fill out the form and we are happy to add you to our waitlist.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

A confirmation email will be sent to all accepted applicants. A deposit of $500 is due within 15 days of confirmation and is non-refundable. Should you fail to pay within the 15 day window, your spot may be forfeited and offered to the next person on the waiting list.

Final package prices are estimated, and are subject to change. Pricing is based on currency exchange rates as of May 2026. Any drastic fluctuations in currency exchange rates may impact final pricing. If you have any questions about pricing and when final pricing decisions will be communicated, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

If an individual pilgrim chooses to cancel, the refund amount will depend on when the pilgrim cancels. All cancellations of individual pilgrims must be made in writing (email or letter) to the Office of Catholic Youth. Cancellations are possible at any time, but refunds are subject to cancellation fees at the rates listed.

Any cancellation charges incurred from other suppliers or vendors (flight, lodging, ground transportation, tickets, etc.) may come in addition to the administrative fees listed. All group flight airline tickets, optional excursions, trip options, pre/post extensions, private transfers, and additional hotel nights are non-refundable 100 days or less prior to departure unless otherwise noted.

We highly recommend the purchase of individual travel insurance in the event of any medical emergencies.





Package Details

Our team has thoughtfully put together a full pilgrimage experience. We will begin our formation on Canadian soil, where pilgrims can begin to prepare for WYD Seoul and get to know each other more while also preparing their hearts. We will then depart for Seoul in August 2027 and embark on our WYD pilgrimage. Upon our return we will continue to meet and build upon our pilgrimage experience.

Young Adults

We are inviting all young adults aged 18-39 to join us.
Note: You must be 18 years of age as of July 31st, 2027 to be able to register with our group.

Pilgrimage Duration

We will be departing from YYZ on August 1st, 2027 and returning from Seoul on August 11th. That's a total of 10 days, 9 nights in Seoul, South Korea.

Standard Lodging

Shared accommodations are offered at the basic package level. Single accommodations available at an additional cost. 

Estimated Cost

We are estimating that total costs will be around $6,000 CAD. This would include accommodations, flights, tours, WYD fees and formation costs. Initial Deposit of $500 required to secure your spot.

Package A - $6,000

4-star Shared Accommodations

A 9 nights shared accommodation in 4-star Hotel.

Flights

Direct flight from Toronto Pearson airport included, with 1 checked bag.

Meals

Breakfast will be available daily at the hotels. Meal stipends available through the WYD Package. Farewell Dinner in Seoul.

Formation

Our pilgrims will have the opportunity to join multiple formation sessions to spiritually prepare us. Along with post WYD formation sessions.

WYD Package

Our pilgrims will be registered as a diocesan group and will be taken care of by the OCY team. This will include access to WYD activities as well as meal stipends. 

Guided Tour

Fully organized tour with, local tour guide, pilgrimage director and Catholic Chaplain(s). As well as a special day Tour to Mirinae Shrine and the birthplace of St. Andrew Kim.

Itinerary

WYD Seoul Pilgrimage

Depart for Seoul
Aug 1
Depart as a group from YYZ (Toronto Pearson Airport) to Seoul, South Korea.
Arrive in Seoul
Aug 2
Arrival in Seoul, welcomed by our representative. Transfer by coach to hotel.
Opening Mass
Aug 3
WYD begins with an opening Mass presided over by the Ordinary of the diocese hosting the event.
Catechesis & Youth Festival
Aug 4-6
Pilgrims join bishops for catechesis.
Papal Welcome Ceremony
Aug 5
Young people gather with excitement to welcome the Holy Father on Thursday afternoon.
Way of the Cross
Aug 6
The Pope and the pilgrims gather together to meditate on the Way of the Cross prepared for them by young people.
Vigil
Aug 7
On Saturday, all the pilgrims move to the venue for the Closing Mass. With the Holy Father, they pray and adore the Eucharist before settling in to spend the night there.
Closing Mass
Aug 8
As Sunday dawns, the pilgrims celebrate Mass with the Pope. After the Closing Mass, the Holy Father announces the host of the next World Youth Day.

Feel free to explore the city of Seoul and dive into Korean culture on your own or as a group.
Day Tour

Day tour to Mirinae Shrine and the birthplace of St. Andrew Kim. Farewell dinner
Return to Toronto

Transfer to the airport for your return flight home
